Three ways to a shine manicure in February at You Rêve Paris: (1) high-density OPI glossy top coat (included in semi-permanent), (2) glossy finish on SPA Luxe manicure (€70/60 min), (3) mirror chrome on accent nail (+€10). Instant light, 2-3 weeks wear.
February lacks light. And when light is missing, nails look matte — even with a beautiful shade. Here are our three techniques to bring back the gloss as you walk out.

Why do nails look dull in winter?
Three technical reasons:
- Dry air (central heating) parches the nail edge, which turns greyish.
- Lack of natural light kills reflections — polish gleams less under neon than under sun.
- Home top coat wears out in 5-7 days; salons use high-density versions.
Technique 1 — The pro glossy top coat
Our entire OPI semi-permanent range ends with a high-density glossy top coat LED-cured. Result:
- Glass-like shine lasting 2-3 weeks without dulling.
- Ultra-smooth surface that reflects light from every angle.
- Compatible with every colour — nude to burgundy, the effect is amplified.
Technique 2 — SPA Luxe for nail luminosity
The real secret of a shine manicure: the nail itself must be hydrated. A dehydrated nail absorbs light instead of reflecting it. SPA Luxe + semi-permanent (€70/60 min) includes:
- Hand bath at temperature to open the keratin.
- Exfoliation to remove dead skin around.
- Hydrating mask 10 min.
- Hydrating hand massage.
- Full manicure + semi-permanent + glossy top coat.
Walking out, your nails bounce light like a mirror.

Technique 3 — Mirror chrome
The chrome (+€10) option is our secret weapon against grey skies. An ultra-fine chrome pigment is dusted onto the colour, then sealed under top coat. The result: a true mirror on the nail. Best worn:
- On accent nail only — much chicer than full chrome.
- On dark base (burgundy, plum, black) for the jewel effect.
- In gold for Valentine's and Candlemas.
💡 Tip: Chrome on Lincoln Park After Dark or Got the Blues for Red gives the most striking winter finish — like car lacquer.

And to maintain at home?
- Cuticle oil once a day: it's not the polish that shines, it's the clean edge.
- Hand cream regularly to keep the surrounding nail hydrated.
- No home top coat on semi-permanent — it can lift the pro layer.
