So here is the honest April recap: not the palette we previewed at the start of the month, but the faithful, after-the-fact picture of what the hundreds of hands seen in salon really wore.
The colours that dominated April
Peach fuzz, in front
The soft creamy peach came out on close to one in five coloured applications in the first fortnight. Strong demand from the 30-45 urban, office-going segment. Often paired with a glossy finish.
Pastel lilac
The quiet surprise. A soft violet shade that stood out mid-April, especially on cooler days. Heavily photographed on Instagram by our international clientele.
Sakura powdery pink
With Parisian cherry trees in bloom, sakura-style powdery pink peaked mid-April, especially among our Asian clientele. Several cherry-blossom accent nail-art bookings (complex design on quote).
Colourful florals on nail arts
As accent or full nail: small floral motifs, daisy, stylised flowers. Rising demand on short almond nails.
Progressing techniques
Gel-X: the month's real surge
Gel-X extension (€75, 75 min, with semi-permanent) clearly progressed in April among 25-35 clients. The reason: a natural finish, no visible tip, faster application than forms. It has become our most-requested extension.
Gel overlay: the pre-summer staple
For those who do not want length but want strength, the gel overlay (€50 alone, €60 with semi-permanent) remains the reliable option. Embraced by our 35-55 clientele to prepare the summer season without dramatising the hand.

May 2026 preview: three peaks to plan around
1 May 2026 — Labour Day (Friday)
Salon open except 1 May (public holiday). Possible long weekend with Thursday 30 April: book your long-weekend treatments before the end of this week, slots fill fast.
8 May 2026 — Victory 1945 (Friday)
The month's second long weekend. Many Parisians leave town. Plan your last manicure before 8 May to avoid saturated slots.
Sunday 31 May 2026 — Mother's Day
The month's main beauty event. Hands + feet package, Forfait You Rêve, gift cards 50/100/200/500/1000 €: everything moves. Book in early May for the week of 25 to 30; it is our busiest spring week.
