On 18 March, two options after the Saint Patrick's evening: clean semi-permanent removal at the salon (€10, 15 min) to start over with bare nails, or keep the OPI green for 2-3 weeks — especially if it was on a single accent nail. Conversion tip: gold chrome (+€10) turns the green accent into an office accent. Open at 7 rue d'Argenteuil.
The morning after a party, the first thing you look at is your hands. If you followed our advice the day before — a single green accent nail — the Monday transition is easy. If you went further, here's how to come back to sober without damage.

Option 1: clean removal of everything
The semi-permanent removal for hands at the salon costs €10 and takes 15 minutes. It's a technical step that many clients underestimate:
- Professional acetone (not home polish remover).
- Compress soak, controlled timing.
- Gentle removal without scraping — the natural nail stays intact.
- Immediate cuticle hydration after removal.
Why not at home? Because home acetone attacks the keratin if it stays too long. Scraping tears off the surface layer of the nail. Salon removal is the only gesture that protects the natural nail.
💡 Tip: Combine the removal with a classic manicure without colour (€30): filing, cuticles, hydration. Your nails start fresh, ready for the next colour.

Option 2: keep it and own it
An OPI semi-permanent holds 2 to 3 weeks. The green applied on 16 March isn't a polish you throw away: it cost at least €45 and it's still pristine. Here's how to wear it to the office on 18 March without awkwardness:
- If the accent is on the ring finger: no problem. It's even become a signal of discreet elegance.
- If all ten nails are green: possible with a neutral outfit (grey, beige, navy), but avoid with an already colourful look.
- If the green feels too strong in the morning: a matte top coat applied at home changes the texture — the green becomes muted, more chic.

Option 3: convert the accent
Our favourite option for the client who wants to get value from her manicure. The idea: keep the 9 nude nails, rework only the green accent nail. Three proposals:
Gold chrome applied over the green radically changes the effect: green becomes a background, gold becomes the subject. The accent nail stays visible but loses its festive note. It's exactly the kind of manipulation Dodo & Xin like to propose in a quick walk-in consultation.

The morning-after hand routine
Beyond colour, the day after a party is also a day for tired hands: clutched glasses, multiple washes, tight skin. The express routine:
- Rich hand cream on waking.
- Cuticle oil — a few drops massaged in circles.
- If removal planned: book before 11 a.m. to free up the day.
- If keeping: glossy top coat at home to refresh the finish.
What if I want to start from zero?
The client who wants to fully reset can chain removal + classic manicure + new colour. Allow about 1 hour at the salon, around €55-70 depending on the finish. It's the great post-party reset.
