July 2026 nail colours: the shade-by-shade guide

1. How to read this guide

July is a month of many occasions: you leave for the holidays, you attend civil weddings in the 1st arrondissement, you follow the Tour de France and Wimbledon, you celebrate Bastille Day. For each of the six OPI shades applied in our studio, here's the how-to: when to wear it, for which occasion, and with which pairings. 2. Coral Sunset — the sea-holiday shade

Coral Sunset (Cajun Shrimp NLL64). A warm orange coral that flatters golden skin and emerging tans. How to wear it: it's the safe choice for seaside holidays — it doesn't fade under intense sun and holds against salt. Apply full coverage on hands as well as feet. 3. Milk white — the wedding and Wimbledon shade

Milk white (Funny Bunny NLH22). A lightly creamy lacted white — not the aggressive neon white, but a contemporary milky shade that flatters olive and golden skin. How to wear it: it's the shade for civil weddings, days at the Tuileries and the Wimbledon code (finals on the 11th and 12th). 4. Lagoon blue — the summer pedicure shade

Lagoon blue (Suzi Without a Paddle NLF87). A vibrant Mediterranean turquoise, more striking than navy. How to wear it: ideal as a summer pedicure — it echoes seawater and stays bright under July's high light. On hands, prefer it on short nails. Which pairings: stunning in a hands-feet combo with a coral on the other end.

5. Powder pink & lime green — the all-rounder and the bold one

Powder pink (Bubble Bath NLS86). The absolute versatile: a soft pinkish beige that suits every skin tone and every outfit. How to wear it: day-to-day, travelling, and notably for the 1st arrondissement's civil weddings, where it works as a discreet guest shade. Which pairings: on its own, or as the base of a natural French.

Lime green (Pump Up the Volume NLN70). A tangy apple green, lime-style, very on-trend in 2026. How to wear it: perfect on golden skin, it gives a striking contrast with coral. Which pairings: ideal in a bicolour French or as a one- or two-nail accent rather than full coverage.

6. Jersey yellow — the event accent

Jersey yellow (Sun, Sea, and Sand in My Pants NLL23). A pure solar yellow, denser and warmer than lemon, nodding to the Tour de France yellow jersey. How to wear it: keep it to 1 or 2 accent nails, or a modern French for a graphic effect — full-coverage yellow demands a golden complexion to avoid looking aggressive.
