On 13 February, half of Paris is still hunting for an appointment. It's normal — Valentine's is our busiest day of the year. If you couldn't make it this week, two realistic options remain: a well-executed home routine or a last-minute session if we still have a slot. Here are both scenarios.
Option 1 — The 30-minute home express routine
If you cannot come in, a careful home routine does the job. The secret isn't in the number of products, but in a steady hand. Allow 30 minutes, not less, for a result that holds through the evening.
The 7 steps, in order
- 1. Cleanse nails with a gentle remover, even without polish: it removes residual oils.
- 2. File dry in one direction (never back-and-forth) to redefine the shape.
- 3. Push cuticles back with a silicone pusher — never cut at home.
- 4. Gently buff the surface with a fine buffer.
- 5. Apply a thin base coat. Let dry 60 seconds.
- 6. Two thin coats of OPI polish or equivalent — patience between coats (2 minutes).
- 7. Glossy top coat, then one drop of cuticle oil for finish.
💡 Tip: two thin coats hold better than one thick one. A quality top coat (Seche Vite, OPI) halves the risk of post-shower dents.
Option 2 — The last-minute slot at You Rêve Paris
