14 February is a Saturday. At D-5, we are Monday morning. Weekends are heavily booked at the salon, but weekdays still have space. Here is our honest read of the options.
Plan A — Book a quick slot
The slots remaining at D-5:
- Tuesday-Thursday morning (9 am-12 pm): still open.
- Thursday evening: fills this Tuesday, book today.
- Friday daytime: nearly full, 2 pm-4 pm slots possible.
- Saturday 14: very busy. Occasionally a 9 am or end-of-day slot.
Which quick service to pick?
At D-5, we optimise. The classic manicure + semi-permanent is our pick:
- Classic manicure + OPI semi-permanent: €45 / 45 min.
- Solid colour (Big Apple Red, Bubble Bath, etc.) without complex nail art.
- 2-3 weeks wear.
If you have 60 minutes, the SPA Luxe manicure + semi-permanent at €70 remains the optimal "shine" option. But at D-5, classic is enough.
Plan B — Express home routine
If no slot works, here is our home D-2/D-1 protocol that holds up for a night:
The night before (10 min)
- Cuticle oil (jojoba, sweet almond) — 2 minutes massage per hand.
- Gentle scrub with sugar and olive oil (1 min, rinse).
- Rich hand cream + cotton gloves overnight.
Day of (15 min)
- File in a light rounded shape (no aggressive square).
- Push cuticles gently (wooden stick, never aggressive cut).
- Transparent base coat.
- 2 coats of classic polish (red, pink, nude).
- Glossy top coat for hold.
- Dry 30-40 min before any contact, ideally lying flat.
Home hold: 5-7 days. Plenty for 14 February and the weekend after.
💡 Tip:Classic polish truly dries in 30-40 min (not the false 5-min impression). Skip cooking or hand-washing before.
