What we keep from February 2026 at You Rêve Paris — four trends genuinely seen in the cabin: intense Valentine reds (OPI Big Apple Red), red & gold Lunar New Year combinations, magnetic cat eyes rising fast (+€10), and late-winter shades (deep burgundy, forest green, plum). For March, the palette lightens: powder pink, sage, pearl grey.
Every month, we look at what actually goes on our clients' nails. Not what magazines say, not what Instagram predicts: what our signature nail masters Dodo & Xin truly saw at 7 rue d'Argenteuil. Here is the honest recap of February.

1. Valentine reds: the signature colour of the month
No surprise — red crushed the competition in the first half of February. The week of the 14th alone accounts for a disproportionate share of red semi-permanent applications across the entire month. Top picks:
- OPI Big Apple Red — the bright, glossy classic. The most requested.
- OPI Red Hot Rio — a warmer orange-red, ideal on golden skin tones.
- OPI Malaga Wine — deep burgundy for those who want intensity without flame.
Worth noting: red carried strong all the way to the end of February. It isn't only a Valentine colour — it's also a late-winter shade that warms a grey Paris sky.

2. Lunar New Year: red & gold, signature nail art
Lunar New Year coloured a clear share of the month — particularly with our loyal Asian clients. The winning combination: OPI red base + freehand gold details (fine lines, a single gold accent nail, applied gold leaf). Signature work from Xin, who handles these codes with rare precision.

3. Magnetic cat eyes: the month's biggest gain
This was the real surprise. Magnetic cat eyes polish — which creates a metallic linear reflection when a magnet is passed over wet polish — gained ground noticeably. Favourite bases: deep burgundy, midnight blue, emerald green. The effect echoes a cat's eye or a gemstone, and it holds beautifully in semi-permanent.
💡 Tip: Magnetic cat eyes works best on an almond or squoval shape, which lets the luminous line sing. The magnetic option is +€10 with us.

4. Late-winter shades: not done with the dark yet
February 2026 hasn't flipped into spring yet. Winter tones kept their seat:
- Deep burgundy — the reliable late-winter standard.
- Forest green — discreet, elegant, surprisingly versatile.
- Plum and aubergine — sophisticated, perfect for a head-to-toe winter look.
- Anthracite grey — minimalist, ideal for daily office wear.
These shades remain appropriate well into mid-March. No need to rush the pastel pivot if the weather doesn't follow.
5. Looking ahead to March 2026
March marks the transition into spring. With no abrupt break: the palette lightens gradually. What we see coming:
- Powder pink — a big return, soft and luminous.
- Sage green — the most Instagrammable shade of spring 2026.
- Pearl grey — the gentle exit from anthracite.
- Pink-beige — perfect base for the modern French or a dressed-up nude.
For nail art, expect the return of nude ombre gradients — another Dodo & Xin signature.
