From the Louvre, allow 3 minutes on foot: leave Rue de Rivoli, which runs along the palace, and walk up to Rue Saint-Honoré, where Rue d'Argenteuil begins. The reverse route, to head on to the museum, is on our page the Louvre, 3 minutes from the salon, with the museum entrances and metro exits.
Three metro stations are less than a 5-minute walk from the salon:
- Palais-Royal Musée du Louvre (lines 1 and 7): the museum's own station.

- Tuileries (line 1): if you come through the gardens.

3. Which day to come: Tuesday, Sunday, before a late opening
The Louvre is closed on Tuesdays and stays open until 9 pm on Wednesdays and Fridays (official hours on louvre.fr). The salon is open every day from 10 am to 8 pm. A few ways to plan your day:
- Tuesday, the museum's day off: the right slot for a Luxury SPA manicure, or hands and feet, without rushing.
- Wednesday or Friday: a manicure in the late afternoon, then the Louvre's late opening, 3 minutes' walk away.
- Sundays and public holidays: we are open, same hours, except on 1 May. Our article a salon open on public holidays in Paris lists the dates.
- On weekdays, Monday to Friday, some quieter slots (start times 10 am to 12 pm and 2 pm to 5:30 pm) have an off-peak price, shown when you book.

4. Gel polish on a trip: how long it lasts, and removal
OPI gel polish lasts 3 to 4 weeks, as long as most trips. The only catch comes later: it must be removed at a salon, by filing or soaking, never peeled off, or the nail comes away with it (what happens to nails when gel is peeled off). With us, removal costs €10.
A stay of a few days, with no salon nearby once you are home? Choose classic polish: it comes off at home with nail polish remover, no removal appointment needed. Want the colour to last the whole trip? Gel polish, with a removal planned once you are back.
