1. What 7-free, 10-free, 21-free mean
7-free: no formaldehyde, toluene, DBP, camphor, formaldehyde resin, xylene, parabens. Standard since 2015.
10-free: adds triphenyl phosphate, xylene, allergen fragrance.
21-free: Kure Bazaar excludes 21 controversial substances. Strictest on market.
2. Hold: the verdict
Colour retention test on 100 applications each (Kure Bazaar, Manucurist, classic OPI, Mavala):
- Classic non-semi OPI: 7-10 days
- Kure Bazaar eco: 5-7 days
- Manucurist Green flash: 5-7 days
- Mavala 6-free: 4-6 days
OPI lasts 1-3 days longer, it's a fact. Why? Synthetic acrylic resin adheres better than vegetable resins (cassava, cotton).
3. Shine and drying
Shine: equivalent between eco and classic with top coat finish.
Drying: classic OPI surface dry 15-25 min, deep dry 60 min. Eco polish: 30-45 min surface, 90 min deep. Eco needs more patience.
4. And in semi-permanent?
In semi-permanent, composition is LED-cure regulated not brand-specific. All semi-permanents (OPI, GelLac, Indigo) follow same restrictions. No eco/classic difference in semi-permanent.
