1. What 7-free, 10-free, 21-free mean
7-free: no formaldehyde, toluene, DBP, camphor, formaldehyde resin, xylene, parabens. Standard since 2015.
10-free: adds triphenyl phosphate, xylene, allergen fragrance.
21-free: Kure Bazaar excludes 21 controversial substances. Strictest on market.
2. Hold: the verdict
How long classic polish lasts varies with nail prep and how much you use your hands. Eco formulas generally don't last quite as long as classic non-semi OPI. A common explanation: synthetic acrylic resin adheres better than vegetable resins (cassava, cotton).
3. Shine and drying
Shine: equivalent between eco and classic with top coat finish.
Drying: eco polish generally dries more slowly than classic OPI, on the surface and in depth. Eco needs more patience.
4. And in semi-permanent?
In semi-permanent, composition is LED-cure regulated not brand-specific. All semi-permanents (OPI, GelLac, Indigo) follow same restrictions. No eco/classic difference in semi-permanent.
